I’ve fallen in Love…

…with Chicago. Everything went really well. We were in and out, ( and back in, and out again to get a $5 money order at the post office!) of the Brazilian Embassy in about an hour and a half. We encountered NO hassles, NO problems, and lots and lots of smiles. We should have our passports in hand by next Wednesday or Thursday. I won’t be fully relaxed until our fingers are on them, but WOW we are SO relieved! Thanks everyone for praying for us! And please Don’t STOP praying!

I wasn’t the only one who fell in love with Chicago. If given the option, this girl would have moved into the hotel permanently! She was enthralled with the busy city, the big buildings, and all of the people bustling about!

She made many new friends along the way! At the embassy, she quickly made friends with a clerk from the consulate general and scored paper and pens. She sat at her station and chatted away while we did our business at another station. I don’t have anything to worry about in Brazil. This girl knows how to warm others hearts.

Both kids did very well. Hardly any tears….

Ok… well there were a few… but don’t take a little boy’s snack away from him… or this is what happens. Look at his innocent sister in the background!

We spent most of our free time at the hotel’s pool. They became braver and braver the more we went. I was very proud of the two of them. And left wondering where my babies went?

I am very thankful for this trip, and that everything went so smoothly. It was a nice break from all of the chaos and drama we have become used to! The countdown has began, only 11 days left before we get on that plane! Seems like such a LONG time away. I am torn with wanting to enjoy our time here, and wanting the time to just fly by. What am I saying????? Truthfully we just want to go. ALL of US! TODAY! If you are wanting to get together with us before we go, now is the time!
