Sassy And Sweetness

How can there be so much sass in something so sweet?

We have entered a new world with this little one. She has learned the art of back talk.

She is good at it! With her eyebrows raised, and her little arms crossed at her chest, she gives it to us.

If only I didn’t think she was so funny.

Maybe I could zip her lips a bit more effectively.

But with her so serious, swaying her hips, and eyes shining with perserverance. It’s all I can do not to burst out in laughter.

She is hilarious. That girl.

My girl.

She is so funny.

Bella: Mama, I need a snack.

Me: No you don’t. You can’t be hungry, you just ate two sandwhiches.

Bella: YES MAMA. I AM hungry.

Me: No baby. You aren’t. You are just bored.

Bella: Mommy. YOU can’t tell me how my tummy feels. I can tell you. IT says it is HUNGRY!

Who am I to argue with a five year old’s belly?

I gave the belly a snack.

And then another Day Bella came in complaining about her Brother’s behaviour.

Me: Bella, you aren’t the mommy. You can’t tell him what to do. You don’t need to talk to him about obedience. That is my job, because I am the mommy.

Bella: Well then YOU need to talk to him.

Hehehe!

There is a whole lotta drama in this house!
